Alu-flex Tubing

Alu Flex tube

Thermo-Floor’s Alu-flex tube is specially designed for heating systems. Alu-flex can also be connected to heating manifolds. Its excellent flexibility and reliability ensures a fast, economical and safe system.

Special composition

Alu-flex has a homogenous welded aluminium core with a 0.4mm wall thickness. This aluminium core is bonded using a special link layer that has a homogenous connection with the aluminium. By the combination of aluminium and electrons cross polyethylene combined in one product, gives alu-flex the advantages of the plastic and metal pipes.

  1. Outer tube: cross polyethylene trough electroctsys
  2. Special link layer for a homogenous connection with the aluminium.
  3. Homogenous welded aluminium core with a wall thick ness of 0,4 mm
  4. Special link layer for a homogenous connection with the aluminium.
  5. Outer tube: cross polyethylene trough electroctsys

Some Eye-catching Properties

During the fabrication process the welding, diameter and wall thickness are fully checked automatically. Alu-flex is 100% oxygen close and pressure tight according to DIN 4726 4729 IKP-UNI. Stuttgart. Because of the special composition Alu-flex solutions have a few eye catching properties:

  • 100 % oxygen close
  • an evenly soak low coefficient, as metal pipes
  • flexibility
  • sound dampening
  • after bending the tube stays in a solid form
  • resistance against high pressure and temperature
  • fully resistance against corrosion even with chemical or electric influences
  • can be relocated easily with a metal detector
  • little pressure loss
  • just as light as plastic tube
  • bends easily, even at low temperatures

Special tools

To cut the Alu-flex pipe without any problem you will need this special tool which can be ordered.

Manifold

Thermolink system manifold

The core of the system is the manifold, which is made by the latest precision techniques.

Floor heating conversion box for radiator system

These boxes are specially developed to be fixed onto the floor or inside a stud wall. If the box is mounted on the wall, the mounting bracket must be turned 180° and be 40mm high.

Each box contains two smaller boxes with two chromed copper pipes of 15/1, a length of 30 cm and 2 floor connection couplings of 16/2. The boxes are able to be fixed at C.T.C 5cm up to C.T.C. 20cm.Supplied with the box are two rubber rings that isolate the box preventing any screed from intruding.

The Thermo-Floor/WTH Thermolink system also uses the polyethylene thick wall, oxygen tight tube. The tube has been tested and proved to withstand a top temperature of 100°c and a max pressure of 6 bar.

The tube is fitted with a corrugated sleeve made out of saran which gives an optimal protection against oxygen diffusion according to DIN 4726.

The corrugated sleeve is made in two colours blue and red which indicates the flow and return tube. The corrugated sleeve protects the tube inside but also gives it the needed space for expanding.
